Platforms & Capabilities
Which platforms do you build on?
We build on the stack that best serves your business:
- WordPress – flexible, fast to launch; ideal for blogs, service sites, small – medium stores.
- WooCommerce – our go-to for rock-solid e-commerce on WordPress.
- Fully Custom Development – React, Next.js, Laravel, Node.js when you need total control and custom logic.
- Headless CMS – Contentful, Strapi + a custom front-end for lightning speed.
Do you only build on WooCommerce?
No — we also build on Shopify and other platforms but prefer WooCommerce for its scalable options and felxibility.
WooCommerce is our primary toolkit, but for large-scale or niche requirements, we shift to fully custom stacks. Shopify’s in our arsenal too — we use whatever best fits your business.
How big can my e-commerce store scale?
There’s no hard limit—scale is governed only by your hosting resources and the development budget you allocate.
Project & Process
How long will my project take?
- One-page / brochure site – ≈ 4 days – 2 weeks
- Standard WooCommerce store – ≈ 5 weeks
- Complex or custom build – timeline scoped up-front
Can I add features later?
Yes. Popular add-ons: learning-management systems, memberships, loyalty, advanced automations, and more.
What training is provided?
- Brochure websites: 1-hour live session + recording.
- E-commerce: 2-hour live session + recording.
Additional training can be booked with our consultants.
How will we communicate?
Preferred: Google Meet. Secondary: Microsoft Teams. Email remains the paper-trail. Face-to-face (Johannesburg/Sandton area) when truly needed.
Support & Maintenance
What’s included in the base Maintenance Plan?
Daily off-site backups, core/plugin updates, uptime & security monitoring, performance tuning, monthly health report.
What does your three-month technical support cover after hand-over?
If any custom component we built doesn’t work as intended, we fix it free of charge. We also keep a close eye on security to prevent issues from cropping up.
Why do I need ongoing care?
For brochure sites it’s peace-of-mind; for e-commerce it can also cover order, stock, or catalogue management—tasks that get technical fast but can be delegated or taught.
What if something breaks later?
During the first three months you’re covered automatically. After that, Care-Plan clients get a 30- to 60-minute critical-issue response; otherwise we quote ad-hoc emergency support.
Hosting, Domains & Ownership
Do you offer hosting?
Every new build comes with 1 month of free managed VPS hosting. Longer projects may receive extended free hosting at our discretion.
Who owns the domain?
We register domains in your name. We remain the technical admin, but the asset is legally yours.
Who holds the IP on the website?
Once all fees are settled, intellectual-property rights pass to you, unless a different arrangement is defined in writing.
Can you migrate my existing site?
Yes. We lift, clean, and relaunch without downtime, then optimise performance in the new environment.
E-commerce & Payments
Which payment gateways can you integrate?
Payfast, PayGate, Stripe, PayPal, Ozow, Peach Payments—there’s virtually no limitation.
Pricing & SEO
Is SEO or advertising included?
We add a title & description to up to five core pages, compress images/fonts, and implement baseline performance tweaks (e.g., Cloudflare CDN).
Ongoing options:
- “Momentum SEO” – monthly technical & on-page optimisation
- “Growth Content” – focused blog & landing-page copywriting
- “Authority Boost” – backlinks, schema, local SEO, reporting
Paid-media retainers (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) are available separately.
How do payments work?
- 50 % deposit to start
- 25 % at the final-build phase
- 25 % at sign-off / launch (or 30 days after final-build phase—whichever comes first)
For larger, long-running projects we agree milestones in advance.
